Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have undergone an atrial fibrillation (AF) catheter ablation procedure using a specific new device called the VOLT PFA balloon-in-basket system
- People who are able and willing to give their consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose left atrium (a chamber of the heart) is larger than 60mm in size
- People with severe narrowing or leaking of the mitral heart valve, or who have previously had mitral valve repair or replacement surgery
- People with any condition that the trial doctor considers a reason to avoid AF ablation procedures (confirm with trial site)
- People who have a known blood clot inside their heart
- People who have any condition that means they cannot take blood-thinning medication
- People with an untreated or uncontrolled overactive thyroid, or other treatable causes of AF such as alcohol dependency
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or who could become pregnant and are not using adequate contraception
- People with an active infection affecting the whole body
