  • People who have a primary diagnosis of another psychiatric condition, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, other anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or certain physical symptom disorders
  • People who have metal implants in the head or neck, or any other medical reason that would make brain stimulation treatment (TMS) unsafe for them
  • People who have previously received TMS (a type of brain stimulation) treatment
  • People who are currently using, or have used within the past 4 weeks, sedative medications called benzodiazepines at adequate doses for more than 2 weeks
