Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are willing to take part and have signed a consent form agreeing to participate.
  • You have been diagnosed with colon cancer (a specific type called adenocarcinoma) that has been confirmed by a tissue sample, and it is at stage cT3c or more advanced.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old (any gender).
  • Your tumor is located more than 10 cm away from the opening of the back passage (anus).
  • You are generally able to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation, based on a standard medical scale called ECOG (score of 0 or 1) (confirm with trial site).
  • Your blood tests show that your bone marrow, liver, kidneys, and blood clotting are all working well enough.
  • You have not had any previous treatment for your current colon cancer (such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or surgery).
  • If you are a woman, you are not pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are a man, you agree to use effective contraception throughout the study.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have already received any treatment for your current colon cancer.
  • You have previously used certain types of medication called PCSK9 inhibitors or PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors (confirm with trial site).
  • You currently have or have had in the past a disease where your immune system attacks your own body (autoimmune disease).
  • You are currently taking medicines that suppress the immune system or high-dose steroid tablets (except for low-dose steroid creams or local treatments).
  • You have an active infection that requires treatment with antibiotics or other anti-infective medicines taken throughout the body.
  • You have serious heart or blood vessel problems, such as severe high blood pressure, a recent heart attack, or heart failure.
  • Your tumor has caused a serious complication, such as a hole in the bowel or a blockage that has not been resolved.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • There are other reasons the doctor running the trial feels you would not be suitable to take part, such as concerns about your ability to follow the study requirements or serious problems with organ function.
