Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are aged between 18 and 40 years old
  • People who have mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression
  • People who have normal vision, or vision that is fully corrected (for example, with glasses or contact lenses)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who take a daily dietary supplement containing more than 2 mg of Vitamin B6
  • People who take a medication that works on the brain's GABA system (the trial team will review any current medications to check this)
  • People who are currently pregnant
  • People who have a medical history of epilepsy
  • People who have a medical history of peripheral neuropathy (a condition affecting the nerves, usually in the hands and feet)
  • People who take the antibiotic Seromycin, which is sometimes prescribed for tuberculosis or urinary tract infections
  • People who have a history of brain injury or have had a recent concussion
