- People who have been clinically diagnosed with multiple sclerosis according to a standard set of diagnostic guidelines known as the 2017 McDonald Criteria.

- People with skin conditions on the scalp, known allergies to electrode materials, recent brain surgery, or other conditions that make wearing a brain-monitoring (EEG) cap unsafe or unsuitable.
- People who have any other health condition that the treating doctor considers incompatible with safely taking part in the trial.
