BPPV Group (people with a specific type of dizziness):

  • People aged 18 years or older
  • People who have been clinically diagnosed with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) — a condition causing brief episodes of dizziness triggered by head movement — confirmed through specific movement-based tests performed by a doctor

Healthy Control Group (people without dizziness):

Who may not be able to join:

  • People under 18 years of age

  • People with a known heart rhythm disorder, heart failure, coronary artery disease, or other significant heart condition
  • People who take certain medicines that can affect how the heart rate varies, including beta-blockers, certain blood pressure or heart medicines, anti-arrhythmic drugs, digoxin, steroid medicines taken throughout the body, certain medicines that affect the nervous system, or psychiatric medicines that may influence the body's automatic nervous system (confirm specific medications with the trial site)
  • People with an active infection or an ongoing inflammatory condition affecting the whole body
