Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease by a neurologist
- People whose Parkinson's medication has remained the same for at least three months
- People who are 40 years of age or older
- People whose Parkinson's disease is at a mid-range stage of progression, as measured by a standard rating scale called the modified Hoehn and Yahr scale (stage 2.5 to 3)
- People who experience walking difficulties, specifically at least one episode per week where their feet seem to "freeze" or get stuck when trying to walk
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have other neurological conditions, low blood pressure when standing, balance/inner ear problems, bone or joint problems, or vision problems that could affect how well they perform the trial's assessments
- People who have bone or muscle conditions affecting the legs that make it harder to move around or carry out everyday physical tasks
- People whose score on a standard memory and thinking test (called the MoCA) falls below 21 out of 30
- People who have previously had surgery related to their Parkinson's disease
- People for whom magnetic stimulation treatment may be unsafe, including those with a history of seizures or who have metal implants in the neck or spine area
