Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease
- People whose Parkinson's disease falls within a mild to moderate range of severity (Hoehn and Yahr stages 1 to 3)
- People between the ages of 40 and 85 years
- People who score 24 or above on a standard memory and thinking test called the Mini-Mental State Examination
- People who have enough thinking and communication ability to take part in study activities and assessments
- People who are currently attending the Movement Disorders Outpatient Clinic in the Department of Neurology
- People who are willing and able to sign a written consent form to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a major depressive disorder or a psychotic disorder
- People who have advanced dementia
- People who have a long-term physical health condition, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, that is not well controlled
- People who have serious heart or lung disease
- People who have other neurological (brain or nervous system) or bone and joint conditions that could affect how they perform during assessments
- People who have severe difficulties with vision or hearing that could interfere with study assessments
- People who would not be able to work cooperatively with a physiotherapist during the study assessments
