- Professional tattoo artists with at least one year of experience in that work (for the case group)
- Healthy people who do not work with vibrating tools or equipment (for the control group)

Who may not be able to join:

- People with a history of nerve problems or disc problems in the neck
- People who have had surgery or a significant injury to their arm, wrist, or hand at any point
- People who have a rheumatological condition or a long-term inflammatory illness (such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus)
- People who are pregnant
- People with a history of substance or alcohol misuse
- People who also work in another job that involves repetitive hand movements or the use of vibrating tools
