  • People whose pain is not well controlled by standard pain medication, rating 4 or higher on a standard pain scale
  • People who have had a second, separate cancer within the past 5 years (some types of fully treated skin cancers or cancers that have not come back in 5 years may still be eligible — confirm with trial site)
  • People with serious heart or blood vessel conditions that are not well controlled, such as severe heart failure, unstable chest pain, a heart attack or stroke within the past 6 months, certain heart rhythm problems, or high blood pressure that has not responded to treatment
  • People with active hepatitis B infection at certain levels detected in blood tests
  • People who have an active infection or an unexplained fever above 38.5°C at the time of screening or when treatment would begin (fevers clearly caused by the tumour may be assessed differently by the trial doctor)
  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Women who could become pregnant and have a positive pregnancy test during the screening period (both male and female participants are expected to use reliable contraception during the trial and for 3 months after the last dose)
  • People with other medical or personal circumstances that the trial doctor believes could affect their ability to participate safely or make the results harder to interpret
  • People whose expected survival is estimated to be 3 months or less
