  • People who have had pain or problems with one shoulder (specifically subacromial impingement syndrome) lasting at least 3 months
  • People who are about to begin a 10-session physiotherapy program for their shoulder

  • People who have received a cortisone injection into the shoulder or had physiotherapy for it within the past 3 months
  • People who are currently taking medication for nerve-related pain
  • People who are pregnant
  • People who have a cognitive impairment that would prevent them from completing study questionnaires
