Who may be able to join

  • People who are 50 years of age or older AND meet at least one of the following conditions:
  • People who have been exposed to wood smoke for at least 100 hours per year
  • People who have a parent, sibling, or child who has been diagnosed with lung cancer
  • People who have been diagnosed with COPD and/or emphysema

Who may not be able to join

  • People who have lost 10% or more of their body weight in the 6 months before joining the study
  • People whose physical health, mental health, or other medical conditions would prevent them from receiving curative (aimed at curing the disease) treatment
  • People who, for any reason, are not suitable for a low-dose CT scan (a type of chest imaging) (confirm with trial site)
  • People whose life expectancy is 5 years or less
  • People who have previously been found to have nodules (small lumps or growths) in their lungs
