- People who have been diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis), based on their own report

- People who have had an MS relapse (a flare-up of symptoms) within the past 30 days
- People who have signs or symptoms of a serious or uncontrolled heart, kidney, or metabolic condition, or any other condition that would make exercise unsafe for them
- People who are already doing regular aerobic exercise, meaning two or more sessions per week for 12 weeks or more
- For the specific exercise component involving electrical stimulation cycling (FES cycling), people who have a cardiac pacemaker, an implanted heart defibrillator, unhealed broken bones, a current pregnancy, epilepsy, a condition called autonomic dysreflexia, or an active infection may not be able to take part in that component
