Who might be able to join this trial:
- You speak English and have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease
- You are able to walk safely on your own, with or without a cane
- Your doctor has given you the go-ahead to take part in an independent walking program
- You must be physically located in the USA at the time of your assessment
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with a neurological condition other than Parkinson's disease, such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, or dementia (note: mild memory or thinking difficulties do not automatically disqualify you)
- You have regularly used walking poles for exercise more than 30% of the time over the past 6 months
- You weigh more than 320 pounds or are taller than 6 feet 4 inches
- You are unable to take part in walking for more than 7 days in a row at any point during the study, for example due to travel or a planned surgery
- Your Parkinson's medication is expected to change during the study period, including adding, stopping, or adjusting the dose of any Parkinson's-related medication
- The settings on your deep brain stimulation (DBS) device are expected to be adjusted during the study period (confirm with trial site if you are unsure whether this applies to you)
