Who may be able to join

  • The person has given written consent and is able to agree to participate.
  • The person has been diagnosed with a specific type of lung cancer called pulmonary large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC), confirmed by laboratory tests on tissue samples; people with a mixed cancer type may also be eligible if LCNEC makes up at least half of the cancer.
  • The cancer has spread to nearby areas or other parts of the body and cannot be cured with current treatments.
  • The person has received exactly one cycle of a standard chemotherapy combination (platinum and etoposide, with or without an immune checkpoint inhibitor) and has not had any other systemic (whole-body) treatments before.
  • The cancer can be measured on scans according to a standard set of measurement rules called RECIST v1.1 (confirm with trial site).

Who may not be able to join

Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

  • The person has brain metastases (cancer that has spread to the brain) that are causing symptoms; people with brain metastases that are not causing symptoms may still be considered if the condition has been stable, they are not on steroids, and their anticonvulsant medication (if any) has not changed for at least 3 weeks.
  • The person has a condition called leptomeningeal disease, where cancer has spread to the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
  • The person has previously received any systemic (whole-body) treatment for metastatic disease, other than the one cycle of standard chemotherapy described in the joining criteria.
  • The person has previously been treated with a drug called obrixtamig or any other treatment that targets a protein called DLL3, including a type of therapy called T-cell engagers or antibody-drug conjugates.
