Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged between 20 and 50 years old
  • Both men and women are eligible to participate
  • People who have nerve pain on one side of the body caused by a disc bulge at specific levels of the lower spine (L4-L5 or L5-S1), confirmed by both a physical examination and an MRI scan
  • People whose symptoms have been present for between 4 weeks and 6 months
  • People who test positive on a specific nerve tension test called the Straight Leg Raise test, where pain or symptoms occur before the leg reaches 70 degrees of elevation
  • People whose pain is mild to moderate, rated less than 7 out of 10 on a standard pain scale

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with thinking or memory problems, dementia, or signs of spinal cord involvement
  • People with inflammatory or degenerative conditions affecting the spine
  • People who have had spine surgery within the past 6 months
  • People who are in the second half of the second trimester or in the third trimester of pregnancy
  • People whose symptoms involve certain muscle-related conditions, such as Deep Gluteal syndrome or Piriformis syndrome
  • People who are currently taking medications or receiving any other treatment at the same time
