  • Children aged 3 to under 18 years old
  • Children who are scheduled to have their tonsils removed, with or without their adenoids removed
  • Children whose recovery after surgery will take place in a monitored medical setting, such as a post-anesthesia care unit

  • Children who will not be receiving opioid pain relief as part of their surgical care
  • Children who have any other condition that the trial doctor believes would interfere with their participation or make the results difficult to interpret (confirm with trial site)
