Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have had one or more strokes more than 6 months ago that affected your ability to lift the front part of your foot (known as ankle dorsiflexion)
- You have been discharged from all rehabilitation services
- You are able to walk on your own for 15 minutes, with or without a walking aid like a cane, but without wearing an ankle-foot brace (AFO)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have difficulty understanding and following a two-step instruction
- You have nerve damage in your hands or feet (peripheral neuropathy)
- You have damage to your skull or scalp, such as a fracture
- You have a history of seizures or epilepsy
- You have very high or very low blood pressure or heart rate
- You experience chest pain or shortness of breath while at rest
- You have had Botox injections in your leg or foot within the last 4 months
