Who may be able to join

  • People who have a confirmed diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, in any form.

  • People who are between 18 and 65 years of age.
  • People who are willing and able to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part.
  • People who are able to apply the study oil to their own skin each day, or who have a caregiver available to help with this throughout the study.

  • People who have an active urinary tract infection confirmed by a urine test at screening.
  • People who have a bladder or urinary condition that is not related to their Multiple Sclerosis, such as bladder cancer, an enlarged prostate, or interstitial cystitis.
  • People who have a known allergy or sensitivity to essential oils, apricot kernel oil, lavender, or rosemary.
  • People who have open skin wounds, sores, or a skin condition on the lower stomach area where the oil would be applied.
  • People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
  • People whose cognitive difficulties would prevent them from understanding the study procedures or completing the required questionnaires.
  • People who currently use a permanent urinary catheter or who regularly use a catheter themselves to empty their bladder.
