People who have atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm that comes and goes, or is ongoing) and are having a heart ultrasound before a procedure to treat their irregular heart rhythm.
People with a structurally normal heart and no history of atrial fibrillation may be eligible to join a comparison group in this trial.

People who have heart rhythm problems other than atrial fibrillation.
People who have previously had a procedure to treat atrial fibrillation.
People whose heart was beating too fast (over 110 beats per minute on average) during their heart ultrasound at the start of the study.
People whose heart ultrasound images were not clear enough to be used in the study.
