Who may be able to join
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, confirmed through a combination of clinical assessment, camera examination of the bowel, and tissue sample analysis
- People whose Ulcerative Colitis is either currently active (with moderate to severe inflammation and symptoms) or in remission (with little to no inflammation and minimal symptoms), as measured by standard scoring tools

- People who have or have had cancer
- People who have used laxatives or anti-inflammatory pain medications (such as ibuprofen or naproxen) in the two weeks before joining the trial
- People who have long-term kidney disease
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who have an active infection at the time of joining
