Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have symptoms that could suggest an irregular heartbeat that comes and goes, such as occasional fluttering in the chest or chest discomfort
- People aged 60 or older who have no symptoms but have at least one of the following health conditions or risk factors: high blood pressure, diabetes, coronary artery disease, heart valve problems, a weakened or enlarged heart, sleep apnea, an overactive thyroid, obesity (a BMI over 30), or regularly drinking alcohol more than 3 times per week
Who may not be able to join:
- People younger than 20 years old or older than 80 years old
- People who have moderate or severe problems with memory or thinking
- People who have already been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat condition) before the study begins
- People who do not agree to take part in the study
