- People who are assessed by the trial centre's surgical team as not being suitable for surgery.
- People who have had major surgery within the 4 weeks before starting the trial treatment.
- People who have previously received other systemic cancer treatments for their non-small cell lung cancer outside of what this trial involves.
- People who have been taking high-dose steroid tablets (prednisone above 10 mg per day) long-term within the 2 weeks before joining the trial.
- People with a history of serious heart disease or stroke-related (cerebrovascular) disease.
- People with certain heart rhythm abnormalities, such as a prolonged QTc interval or complete left bundle branch block (confirm with trial site for full details).
- People who have had a blood clot event within the 6 months before screening.
- People with known or suspected scarring or inflammation of the lung tissue (interstitial lung disease).
- People who have been diagnosed with another active cancer within the 5 years before joining the trial.
- People whose high blood pressure has not been adequately controlled despite taking two blood pressure medications.
- People with poorly controlled blood sugar levels.

- People with a known allergy to the study drug or related substances.
- People who have had a solid organ transplant, or a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.
- People who test positive for HIV, have an active hepatitis B infection, or have a hepatitis C infection.
- People with a history of serious neurological or psychiatric conditions.
- People who have received, or are planning to receive, a live vaccine within the 28 days before joining the trial.
- People who have other medical conditions or circumstances that the trial doctor considers would make participation unsuitable.
