Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have Type 1 diabetes and manage it with either multiple daily insulin injections or an insulin pump
- People whose HbA1c (a measure of average blood sugar over roughly 3 months) is between 6.5% and 9%
- People with a body mass index (BMI) between 25 and 45
- People who have an active prescription for and are currently using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM)

Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
- People who have a type of diabetes other than Type 1, or who have had Type 1 diabetes for less than one year
- People with a history of heart attack or stroke, heart failure, unstable heart disease, significant kidney disease, liver cirrhosis, or active cancer
- People who have had a serious diabetes crisis — such as diabetic ketoacidosis or a severe low blood sugar episode requiring outside help — within the past year
- People who are planning to change their insulin delivery method (for example, switching from injections to a pump, or the other way around) during the study period
- People currently taking certain medications, including SGLT2 inhibitors, GLP-1 receptor agonists, or any other medicines that may affect body weight
- People whose body weight has changed by more than 5% in the 3 months before joining the trial
- People who are currently following a special diet, such as a low-carbohydrate diet or intermittent fasting
- People with a history of an eating disorder or alcohol misuse
- People who would not be able to follow the dietary recommendations set out in the study
- People with other health conditions that, in the opinion of the trial investigators, could affect safe participation (confirm with trial site)
