Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (a formal diagnosis made using standard psychiatric guidelines)
- People aged between 18 and 60 years old
- People of any gender
- People who are able to speak and understand Urdu or English

- People who are currently taking probiotic or prebiotic supplements
