- People who are scheduled to have surgery to remove all or part of the pancreas due to a pancreatic tumour (this includes procedures known as a Whipple procedure or distal pancreatectomy)

- People who are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are under 18 years old or older than 75 years old
- People who are pregnant
- People who are unable to tolerate wearing the breathing measurement hood or face mask for long enough to get a valid reading
- People who are unwilling or unable to provide written consent to participate
- People who are already receiving nutrition through a tube before surgery, or who are unable to eat by mouth before surgery
