Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon or rectum) confirmed by a tissue biopsy.
• People whose cancer has spread to the liver in a way that cannot be removed by surgery.
• People whose scans (PET/CT) taken within 4 weeks before the transplant team meeting show no signs of cancer spread outside the liver — although having 1 to 3 small removable spots on the lungs (all smaller than 15mm) may still be acceptable.
• People whose CT scans of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis taken within 4 weeks before the transplant team meeting show no signs of cancer spread outside the liver — again, 1 to 3 small removable lung spots may still be acceptable.
• People with rectal cancer who have had an MRI of the pelvis within 4 weeks before the transplant team meeting showing no sign of the cancer returning in the pelvis.
• People who have had a bowel examination (colonoscopy or CT scan of the bowel) within 12 months before the transplant team meeting showing no sign of the cancer returning locally.
• People who are in good general health and able to carry out everyday activities with little or no limitation (confirmed with trial site).
• People whose blood test results meet required levels for red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, liver function, kidney function, and protein levels (confirm specific values with trial site).
• People who have given written consent and are willing and able to attend treatment and follow-up appointments as required.
• People who have already received at least 8 weeks of chemotherapy.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have lost more than 10% of their body weight in the past 6 months.
• People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 30 (a commonly used measure of body weight relative to height).
• People who have previously been diagnosed with cancer that has spread to the bones or brain/nervous system.
• People who have previously been diagnosed with breast cancer or melanoma (a type of skin cancer).
• People who have had surgery to remove part of their bowel cancer for comfort or symptom relief rather than with the intent to cure.
