  • You must have already been diagnosed with, or are suspected to have, one of these heart conditions: reduced blood flow to the heart or a heart attack, a thickened heart muscle (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), a heart muscle affected by a build-up of abnormal substances (infiltrative cardiomyopathy), or inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis).
  • You must have already been referred by your doctor for a cardiac MRI scan as part of your normal care.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have an implanted device (such as a pacemaker) or any other condition that makes having an MRI scan unsafe for you.
  • You have a severe mental health condition or difficulties with memory, thinking, or understanding.
  • You currently use or are dependent on substances such as illegal drugs or alcohol (confirm with trial site).
  • You are not willing or able to follow the requirements of the study.
  • You have taken part in this same study before.
  • You have a known allergy to MRI contrast agents (the dye sometimes used during MRI scans).
  • You are currently in an unstable or emergency medical condition.
