Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have gallbladder cancer that has reached a certain stage (called T2 or T3), as seen on a CT scan before surgery
- People who have been confirmed by laboratory testing (looking at tissue samples) to have T2 or T3 gallbladder cancer after having their gallbladder removed in an initial surgery
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer has spread to the lining of the abdomen (peritoneal seeding) or to other parts of the body (distant metastasis)
- People whose cancer cannot be fully removed by surgery
- People whose tissue samples show a different type of cancer, such as adenosquamous carcinoma or sarcoma, rather than the more common type of gallbladder cancer
- People whose previous surgery left behind cancer cells at or near the edges of the removed tissue, known as R1 or R2 resection (confirm with trial site)
