Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 18 years of age or older
• You have been diagnosed with chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps that needs surgery, after already trying medication treatments recommended by Canadian sinusitis guidelines
• You have nasal polyps on both sides of your nose that are at least a moderate size, as confirmed by a camera examination of your nose at the screening visit
• You have significant nasal blockage, as measured by a specific symptom questionnaire (SNOT-22) at the screening visit
• You are considered healthy enough to undergo a procedure, based on a standard medical fitness rating system (confirm with trial site)
• If you have asthma or a chronic lung condition (COPD), it must have been stable for at least 3 months, with no emergency visits, hospital stays, or steroid treatments for those conditions
• You are able to understand and agree to take part in the study by signing a consent form

Who may not be able to join:

• You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• Your polyps are a specific hardened type, or so large they change the shape of your nose from the outside
• You have a high facial pain or pressure score on the SNOT-22 symptom questionnaire at the screening visit
• You have had a previous nose or sinus surgery that would make it impossible to accurately measure your polyps
• You are unable to attend all required follow-up appointments during the study
• You have significant structural abnormalities in your mouth, such as an unrepaired cleft palate
• Your nasal wall (septum) is so crooked that it would need to be corrected before the study procedures could be done
• You have a diagnosis of a weakened or compromised immune system
• You have been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis
• You have been diagnosed with a fungal sinus infection (allergic fungal sinusitis)
• You have a medical condition or are taking medications that mean you cannot safely take steroid tablets (such as uncontrolled diabetes, heart failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, kidney problems, stomach ulcers, glaucoma, or pregnancy)
• You have a history of certain inflammatory or blood vessel conditions, including Churg-Strauss syndrome, primary ciliary dyskinesia, or vasculitis (such as GPA)
• You are allergic or sensitive to local anaesthetic (lidocaine), adrenaline nasal spray, nasal decongestants, or nasal steroid sprays
• You have a serious unstable illness, mental health condition, or other significant health issue that the study doctor believes could affect the results or your safety
• You have had a clinically significant problem with drug or alcohol use within the past year that could affect your participation
• You are unable to read and understand English
• You have any other medical condition the study doctor believes would interfere with the treatment
• You are not considered fit enough to have surgery under general anaesthesia
• You are currently taking part in another clinical trial
• You are unable to be awake during a procedure (confirm with trial site)
• You have been diagnosed with Aspirin-Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (a condition where aspirin or similar painkillers worsen breathing problems)
