For people who may have a white matter brain disorder:
- You can be male or female, and there is no age restriction
- You have a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of a leukodystrophy (a disease affecting the white matter of the brain), based on a brain scan or an existing diagnosis, or a genetic result that may be linked to this type of condition
- You (or your parent or legal guardian) are willing and able to give consent to take part

For healthy volunteers:

- You do not have a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of a leukodystrophy or other white matter brain disorder (this may include caregivers of affected patients)

- You have an established diagnosis of a condition that is not a genetic white matter disorder — for example, multiple sclerosis or a brain condition caused by an infection (although some exceptions may apply, such as effects from certain infections present at birth — confirm with trial site)
- You are unable to give consent, and there is no parent or legal guardian available to do so on your behalf
For healthy volunteers:
