Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with dry eye disease (DED) based on internationally recognised guidelines (called TFOS DEWS II criteria)
- If joining the Sjögren's syndrome group specifically, you have also been diagnosed with primary Sjögren's syndrome (an autoimmune condition that can affect moisture-producing glands) based on 2016 international diagnostic guidelines
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with any other rheumatic or systemic (whole-body) diseases — apart from Sjögren's syndrome or dry eye disease — that could affect tear production
- You have had a previous eye injury or eye surgery
- You have a history of wearing contact lenses
- You currently have other eye conditions, such as active eye inflammation or infection, glaucoma, or problems with your eyelids
- You are unable to cooperate with or complete the tests and examinations required by the study
