Who might be able to join this trial:
- People with a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or below
- People who do not currently smoke or use tobacco products
- People who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, pre-high blood pressure, or high cholesterol and are receiving treatment for these conditions

- People taking aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications may still be eligible, provided they are free of known blood vessel disease and are able to stop taking those medications for 7 days before the study begins — the study doctor would make this assessment; if stopping is not possible, participation would not be permitted due to bleeding risk during a fat tissue sample procedure
Who may not be able to join:
- People considered to be in a vulnerable population (confirm with trial site for details)
- People with chronic kidney disease (based on a specific blood measurement) or active cancer
- People who are pregnant
- People with low red blood cell levels (anaemia) — specifically, a haemoglobin level below 12 g/dL for men or below 11 g/dL for women
- People who currently smoke
- People taking certain long-term medications, including statins, anti-inflammatory drugs, or specific blood pressure medications known as ARBs or ACE inhibitors
- People who have donated blood or plasma in the past 2 months
