Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged between 18 and 70 years who have been diagnosed with a specific type of bowel cancer (adenocarcinoma or poorly differentiated carcinoma of the colon or rectum) that has spread to the liver only, cannot be removed by surgery, and has not spread to any other part of the body.
- People who are generally well enough to carry out daily activities, rated as 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale that measures overall health and ability to function.
- People who have not previously received chemotherapy for their advanced cancer.

- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
