- People whose heart failure symptoms fall into the most severe category, known as NYHA Class IV (meaning severe limitations even at rest — confirm with trial site)
- People who had a certain type of serious heart attack (ST elevation myocardial infarction) within the past month
- People who are both unable or unwilling to have a cardiac MRI scan AND also unable or unwilling to have a cardiac CT scan (for example, due to an allergy to the contrast dye used)
