Prospective Patient Group (joining before treatment):

Retrospective Normal-Hearing Control Group:
- People whose hearing test results show no significant hearing loss (confirm with trial site)
Retrospective Hearing-Impaired Control Group:
- People whose hearing test results show a certain level of hearing loss (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
Prospective Patient Group:
- People who had a hearing loss above a certain level before the study, based on a hearing test (confirm with trial site)
- People who already use or need a hearing aid
- People whose medical team decided on a chemotherapy drug called carboplatin instead of cisplatin
- People already taking part in another research study where the treatment is known to cause hearing damage
- People who are not able to give their own informed consent to participate
Retrospective Patient Group:
- People whose medical team decided on carboplatin-based chemotherapy
- People who are not able to give their own informed consent to participate
Retrospective Normal-Hearing Control Group:
- People whose hearing test shows any hearing loss above a certain level at specific frequencies (confirm with trial site)
- People who are not able to give their own informed consent to participate
Retrospective Hearing-Impaired Control Group:
- People who are not able to give their own informed consent to participate
