Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are military Veterans (men or women) and have been diagnosed with central sleep apnea, meaning their sleep breathing test shows more than 15 breathing pauses per hour overall, with more than 5 of those per hour being the "central" type (where the brain fails to send the signal to breathe)
Who may not be able to join:
- People under 18 years of age
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People with severe lung or breathing disease that requires them to use supplemental oxygen
- People who have had a recent health event that may affect their ability to take part in the study (confirm with trial site)
- People whose Body Mass Index (BMI) — a measure of body weight relative to height — is above 40
- People with significant insomnia (serious ongoing difficulty sleeping)

- People for whom the lead researcher determines that a particular study medication is not appropriate, or who are unable to use the breathing device used to treat sleep apnea in this study
