For patients with a diagnosed condition:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with spondyloarthritis (a type of inflammatory joint disease) or rheumatoid arthritis, based on recognised medical classification systems

For patients with a diagnosed condition:
- People who are unable to understand the study or sign a consent form

- People who have taken antibiotics in the month before joining, or have had a bowel colonoscopy in the six months before joining
- People with a serious additional illness that could affect how the study results are interpreted
- People covered under the French AME scheme (a specific healthcare scheme for some foreign nationals in France)
- People who took part in the earlier related study called Microbiart
For healthy volunteers:
- People who are unable to understand the study or sign a consent form
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People under 18 years of age
- People who are under legal guardianship or supervised care arrangements
- People with a serious acute or chronic illness that could affect how the study results are interpreted
- People covered under the French AME scheme
- People who took part in the earlier related study called Microbiart
