Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been admitted to hospital with acute (sudden or severe) heart failure
- People whose heart is pumping with a normal or near-normal squeezing strength (called "preserved ejection fraction," meaning the heart pumps out at least 50% of its blood with each beat)
- People who are considered medically ready to be discharged from hospital after their heart failure episode
- People aged 18 or older

Who may not be able to join:
- People with another serious illness where life expectancy is 3 months or less
- People who are on dialysis (either peritoneal dialysis or haemodialysis), or whose kidneys are functioning at a very low level at the time of joining the trial (confirm with trial site)
- People who have previously had surgery to remove part or all of a lung
- People with serious lung or chest lining conditions that would make it difficult to get clear lung ultrasound images — for example, severe emphysema, long-term fluid around the lungs, or pulmonary fibrosis
- People who are pregnant, in labour, or currently breastfeeding
- People who are under a legal protection order, such as guardianship or a similar arrangement under French law
- People who are not able to give their own informed consent
- People who are currently held in detention or deprived of their liberty by a court or administrative decision
- People currently receiving compulsory psychiatric care under specific French public health laws
