Who might be able to join this trial:
- A surgeon, radiologist, or oncologist has diagnosed the person with primary hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) following international guidelines, or the diagnosis has been confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy)

- The tumour is more than 5 mm away from nearby organs such as the food pipe, stomach, small intestine, and bowel
- The person has decided against other treatment options such as surgery or liver transplant
- Blood counts are within acceptable ranges — specifically, platelets and white blood cells are above certain minimum levels (confirm with trial site)
- If the person has hepatitis B, they are being treated with adefovir or entecavir; if the person has hepatitis C, the virus is undetectable in their blood
Who may not be able to join:
- The cancer has spread into blood vessels in or around the liver (tumour thrombus is present)
- The cancer has spread to parts of the body outside the liver
- The cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes
