Who might be able to join this trial:
- People diagnosed with colorectal cancer that has a specific gene change called a RAS mutation (either KRAS or NRAS)
- People whose colorectal cancer has spread to the liver (one or more spots)
- People for whom surgeons have planned a complete surgical removal of the liver tumours (and the original bowel tumour, if it is still present)
- People whose liver surgery is technically possible using standard surgical approaches
- People aged 18 or older, male or female
- People who are willing and able to provide written consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer has spread to areas of the body other than the liver
- People for whom surgeons have planned a staged liver operation (for example, a two-stage liver removal procedure)
- People who have been diagnosed with another cancer within the last 5 years before joining the trial — exceptions may apply for certain cervical cancers treated with curative intent or certain skin cancers that were fully removed (confirm with trial site)
- People who are not expected to be able to follow the trial requirements
- People with addiction or other conditions that would prevent them from fully understanding and consenting to what the trial involves
