Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have a suspected non-spreading eye surface growth on one eye, where a specialist doctor has assessed that it can be surgically removed with a small clear margin around it, without affecting certain surrounding eye structures — this assessment must happen within 4 weeks before the surgery.
- People who are HIV-positive, confirmed through official medical documentation such as prescription records, HIV test results, or other approved testing methods.
- People whose general physical health and ability to carry out daily activities falls within an acceptable range on a standard medical scale (confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have taken part in another experimental medical study, or received another experimental treatment (other than an experimental HIV medication), within 30 days before joining this trial.
- People who have a known history of growths or other conditions affecting the surface of the eye, including previous eye surface tumours, pterygium (a tissue growth on the eye), or a specific chronic eye allergy condition affecting the eye surface.
- People who have had an uncontrolled serious illness, ongoing active infection, or a mental health or personal situation in the 4 weeks before joining that would make it difficult to follow the trial's requirements.
