Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with a type of heart attack (called ACS) and had a procedure to open blocked arteries (called PCI/stenting), and have been taking two blood-thinning medications together for at least 6 months afterward
- You have tested positive for a stomach bacteria called Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
- You are 18 years old or older
- You (or your authorized representative) are willing and able to sign a consent form to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a past history of bleeding from a stomach or intestinal ulcer
- You have been regularly taking stomach acid-reducing medications (such as PPIs or H2 blockers) for a long time
- You have enlarged veins in your food pipe or stomach, or have had part of your stomach surgically removed
- You are currently taking blood-thinning medications such as warfarin or similar drugs (factor X or factor II inhibitors)
- You recently received clot-dissolving (fibrinolytic) therapy within the past 24–48 hours before joining
- You had heart bypass surgery (CABG) within the last 30 days, or have one planned
- You currently have active bleeding or a condition that affects your blood's ability to clot (confirm with trial site)
- You have liver or kidney disease with certain abnormal test results, including elevated kidney or liver markers above specific levels (confirm with trial site for exact values)
- You have had a bleeding stroke, or have a brain tumor, abnormal blood vessels in the brain, or a brain aneurysm
- You have anemia, meaning your blood count is below a certain level for your sex (confirm with trial site for exact values)
- You are currently taking steroid medications (such as corticosteroids)
- You have taken antibiotics or other medications that affect stomach bacteria within the past month
- You have a known allergy to aspirin, clopidogrel, ticagrelor, pantoprazole, penicillin, or other medications used in this trial
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or of childbearing age and unwilling to use contraception during the trial
- You have a serious illness such as cancer where life expectancy is estimated to be less than 1 year
- You have taken part in another drug clinical trial within the past 30 days, or are currently in one
- You have a diagnosed mental illness or severe psychological condition
- You are unable to communicate or describe your own symptoms
- The trial doctor decides for any other reason that participation is not appropriate for you
