Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with melanoma
  • You have also been diagnosed with a pre-existing autoimmune condition, which must be one of the following:
    • Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, diagnosed by a gastroenterologist, with ulcerative colitis requiring at least 6 months of confirmed inflammation and current treatment with certain medications)
    • Rheumatoid arthritis, diagnosed by a rheumatologist and being treated with certain medications
    • Systemic lupus erythematosus, diagnosed by a rheumatologist
    • Psoriasis, diagnosed by a dermatologist and being treated with certain medications, light therapy, or other standard treatments
    • A form of inflammatory joint/spine disease (such as ankylosing spondylitis, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, or enteropathic arthritis), diagnosed by a rheumatologist and being treated with certain medications
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • Your doctor has recommended you start a type of cancer treatment called an immune checkpoint inhibitor, or you are currently deciding whether to start one, or you have already made that decision
  • You have access to email and a computer with internet, or you have access to a telephone
  • You are able to communicate in English or Spanish

Who may not be able to join:

  • You do not have a diagnosis of melanoma
  • You do not have one of the specific pre-existing autoimmune conditions listed above
  • You do not meet the treatment or diagnosis requirements for your specific autoimmune condition as described above (confirm with trial site)
  • You are under 18 years of age
  • Your doctor has not discussed immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment with you and you have not been involved in making a decision about it
  • You do not have access to email, a computer with internet, or a telephone
  • You are not able to communicate in English or Spanish
