- People who have been admitted to hospital with a type of heart attack or severe chest pain condition (known as ACS — this includes STEMI, NSTEMI, or unstable angina).

- People whose artery tear (SCAD) is thought to be caused by a build-up of fatty deposits in the arteries (atherosclerosis), where the blockage in the artery is 50% or greater.
