Who might be able to join this trial:
- You were diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) as an adult, and have had it for at least six months
- You are between 22 and 75 years old (male or female)
- Your rheumatoid arthritis is currently active (causing symptoms)
- Your RA has not responded well enough to at least two biologic or JAK-inhibitor medications (a type of RA treatment)
- You have stopped taking your previous RA biologic or JAK-inhibitor medications for a required period of time before joining (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:
- You are unable to give your informed consent to take part in the trial
- You have a significant mental health condition or problems with substance abuse

- You currently have, or have a hidden (latent) form of, tuberculosis (TB)
- You have HIV, active or ongoing hepatitis B or C, or a history of hepatitis B
- You currently have an electrically powered medical device implanted in your body, such as a pacemaker or a heart defibrillator
- You have previously had your spleen surgically removed
- You have recently taken another experimental drug or treatment within a specific time period before surgery (confirm with trial site)
- You have another inflammatory disease that is not currently under control
- You have ongoing or repeated infections that the trial doctor considers too risky
- You have had a cancer diagnosis in the past five years (except certain non-serious skin cancers)
- You regularly use morphine or oxycodone (strong prescription painkillers)
