Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are having planned surgery to remove part of your liver because of cancer (either a cancer that started in the liver or one that spread there from elsewhere)
- Your surgery is scheduled in advance and is not an emergency
- You are 18 years of age or older
- Your surgeon plans to make either a straight vertical cut down the middle of your abdomen, or an L-shaped cut across your abdomen
Who may not be able to join:
- You already have a hernia in your abdomen before the surgery
- You have previously had a surgical mesh implanted in your abdomen during a past operation
- You are pregnant
