Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 65 years old
- You have been diagnosed with chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps (including if you also have a condition called AERD, which involves sensitivity to aspirin)
- A recent swab of your sinuses showed a bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus (staph) at your first visit
- You have previously had sinus surgery, and your sinus openings are clear enough for doctors to take swabs and tissue samples
- If you have asthma, it is currently well managed
- If you have eczema (atopic dermatitis), it is currently well managed
- You are already using saltwater nasal rinses and have been on a stable dose of steroid nasal spray for more than one month
- Your doctor is already planning to start you on a medication called dupilumab as part of your normal care
- You meet the FDA's approved guidelines for using dupilumab for nasal polyps
Who may not be able to join:
- You have another serious medical condition going on at the same time
- Your asthma is not well controlled (confirm with trial site)
- You have used steroid tablets or pills in the last 60 days
- You have had an urgent care visit, emergency room visit, or hospital stay for asthma in the last 60 days
- You currently smoke, or you have a significant smoking history of more than 10 pack-years (confirm with trial site)
- You have used a biologic medication (including for asthma) in the last 3 months
- Your sinus-related medications or treatment routine have changed in the last month
- You have had a cold or upper respiratory infection in the last 6 weeks
- You have taken antibiotics in the last 6 weeks
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have had a bad reaction to dupilumab before, or have any other medical reason you cannot take it
