Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 19 years or older who have had a heart attack, confirmed by specific blood test results (called cardiac troponin) combined with symptoms of reduced blood flow to the heart
- People whose heart arteries are found to be not significantly blocked — meaning less than 50% narrowing, or a pressure-based test (called FFR) showing good blood flow
- People with no previous history of coronary artery disease (heart artery problems)
- People who had an invasive heart artery imaging procedure (called coronary angiography) within 24 hours of arriving at the hospital
- People for whom doctors consider both invasive and non-invasive heart artery assessment tests to be appropriate
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose heart arteries show significant blockages
- People whose symptoms are found to be caused by another condition, such as a serious infection (sepsis), a blood clot in the lungs (pulmonary embolism), heart muscle inflammation (myocarditis), stress-related heart condition (Takotsubo syndrome), a spontaneous tear in a heart artery, or other heart muscle diseases
- People who are in cardiogenic shock (when the heart cannot pump enough blood) or who have had a cardiac arrest
- People with serious non-heart-related health conditions where life expectancy is less than one year
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who are unable to give their own consent to participate
