  • People who already practise meditation, yoga, tai chi, qi gong, or similar mindful movement for 60 minutes or more per week and have been doing so for the past two months
  • People who live outside of the United States of America
  • People whose doctor is planning to start them on a new cancer medication during the study (dose changes to existing medications are not included in this restriction — confirm with trial site)
  • People who have been diagnosed with a sleep disorder other than insomnia, such as sleep apnoea, identified through a screening questionnaire called the Berlin Questionnaire
  • People who use prescribed or over-the-counter sleep aids (including products like NyQuil, Benadryl, or other antihistamine-based sleep products) on three or more nights per week
  • People who have another medical or psychiatric condition that is diagnosed and not currently under control
  • People who have a pacemaker
  • People who work shift work schedules
